Royal Horticulture Society Hampton Court Palace
The Garden and Flower Club of Nigeria Waste to Wonderful
Date: 8th -13th July 2014
Following two successful Garden Shows, The Garden and Flower Club of Nigeria, powered by The Winihin Jemide Series was the first West African country to be selected to participate and showcase at the RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show, a five-day event that ran in London, UK.
Chosen after a selection process which included submitting a concept document and stall design as well as a review of our previous endeavors, our objective was to show how wasted areas and waste material can be used to transform the abandoned in to beautiful green spaces.
This idea was influenced by the Parks and Garden Agencies of Lagos, Bayelsa and Cross Rivers States. Whose pioneering effort have transformed laybacks, middants, roundabouts and wasted spaces into well-manicured and landscaped areas, significantly changing the cityscape of these states. Waste to Wonderful captured this at the Royal Horticulture Society Hampton (RHS) our booths were visited by almost 1500 visitors. To bring our theme to life. The Winihin Jemide Series engaged the services of Aralia by nature and Jasmine Rose winners of best stall and best floral arrangement Flower and Garden Show 2014.
